Heritage Properties
Whilst travelling through India, particularly in the northern region, there will be occasions when you may be accommodated in “heritage” properties. These are generally converted palaces, hunting lodges or havelis (homes of wealthy merchants) and offering a level of rustic charm. It’s impossible to classify these properties as they’re so very, very different. Some are to be found in central city locations, whilst others will be in quieter areas (particularly the hunting lodges). All will provide a sense of old world charm (and nostalgia) and images of an exotic lifestyle from centuries ago. If you think you would prefer a central city hotel rather than a heritage property, please have your agent express that desire at time of booking. Otherwise, we will mix and match to ensure a breadth of experience.
